School Council
Article 12 - All children have the right to say what they think in all matters affecting them.
Here at Grouville School, we try the very best we can to make the School the very best. Many of the changes around the School have happened due to the School Council. This webpage is written by the members of the School Council
Here on this webpage you can find the following:

Running the School Council
The School Council is made up of two representatives from each class from Years 1 - 6. Once a month, each class holds a 'Class Meeting' where they discuss ideas they would like to share with the School Council. After that, the School Council representatives meet up with Mrs Stocke to share their class' ideas as a group. Together, they discuss each item and decide what the outcome should be. The School Council team works hard to listen to the ideas of the children in our school and take action to make a change by fund raising, raising awareness or sharing concerns with children, teachers and Mrs Turner to create a positive outcome for all. We are gradually working our way through the Child Friendly School Improvement Plan and gathering the children's ideas on the way to make things better.

Island School Council Network Meeting
In the Autumn Term we went to Highlands to be part of the School Council Network's meeting on Inclusion. We took part in lots of activities and were able to have our say about what inclusion should look like in schools. We brought our ideas back to school and led our class meetings to gather more ideas from all teh children of what inclusion means to them.
