Q: My child is nervous about the french trip and we are not sure what to do... A: We have a lot of experience taking children away on residential trips and it is our ultimate aim to make sure all of the children have a wonderful time. It is really common for children to be nervous about these types of adventures and we do our very best to make the process smooth and enjoyable for them. The best advice we can give is to get in touch with Mrs Buesnel or Mr Arrowsmith and arrange a meeting together with your child - they can ask any questions about things that they may be worried about and hopefully find answers to help relieve their worries. They also have their Year 5 St Aubin's Fort residential first so it may just take a little bit of extra practise.
Q: What do I need to bring? A: Check the equipment list for the essentials - go through this carefully when packing.
Q: Are you away for Battle Of Britain Day? A: Yes this year we arrive back on the Thursday evening.
Q: Do children come into school on Friday at the normal time? A: Yes, we understand the children will be very tired, but as we arrive back on the Thursday, Friday will be a normal school day. We will have lots of exciting French Trip assembly things to plan and get our teeth into ready for parents the following Friday.
Q: My child isn't going on the French Trip - what do they do? A: Children who are not attending the trip (for a variety of reasons) will need to attend school as normal. They will be supervised by the Year 5 Teachers and will have a special project to complete that they will share with their Year 6 classmates on their return.
