We are proud to be a GOLD Rights Respecting School!
|
The Rights Respecting Ambassadors are children from Years 5 and 6 who want to promote the rights of children here at Grouville school and also within the local community in Jersey and globally.
The ambassadors meet regularly to discuss how they can ensure that our community understands the importance of children's rights. They combine together the voice of the children and teachers and create actions to aim for throughout the academic year. They strive to be active campaigners for rights on the local to the global stage. We have just interviewed the Year 4 children to find some successors to train up before the Year 6 children head off to pastures new. |

What next?
- further developing our pupil involvement in the school's plans for improvement. - continuing to be creative in how we teach and support new staff and children when they join our Rights Respecting School. - continue to support other local schools on their journey to being a Rights Respecting School. Respecting Rights continues to remain a whole school strategic priority and we will ensure that the principles are upheld by all in the school community. |
